I've been travelling in the Sahara since 1982 and running occasional tours there since '88. I organise small-group expeditions to new places that inspire me, working with local guides I've got to know and trust over the years. Recently I ran an Eclipse tour in Niger and a more unusual crossing of the Saharan Empty Quarter as well as a couple of motorcycle tours in Algeria. No two tours of mine are ever alike. Sometimes I lead tours for other companies such as Simoon Travel (see below).

This December I'm offering an ambitious 4-week, self-drive 4WD tour in Algeria which will link up little-visited areas in the west with long cross-country stages. Then in January 2009 I'm leading a two-week camel trek to the Amguid crater in Algeria followed by a one weeker in the same area. Click on the right columns below for more info on all tours.

I do not supply vehicles and I rarely advertise; this is all there is. In this way I like to think interested parties are at least familiar with my website and aware of my books and dvds which can be considered as manuals for joining my Sahara tours.
